The base lies in the northwest corner of Suzhou , where is in the north side of high-tech industrial development zone of Suzhou. The east side of base cross the West Yangtze River Road , the southwest side can be seen by the distant mountain.

Overal conceiving:Draw lessons from structure texture and relationship of creature where the traditional city of Suzhou does.Corresponding to the life mode , inhabit behavior and inhabit ideal of the people in Suzhou. Connecting each community by the system of river system and traffic system , to form a active structure system.

     总体构思∶借鉴苏州传统城市及生物群落生长的结构机理与图底关系，类比其它城市和区域形态的形成和发展过程；对应于苏州人的生活模式，居住行为和居住理想；以绿化系统、系和交通系统为主线连接各个组团，形成一个富有生机的结构体系。
